Dr. Bailey joined the Martha Jefferson Medical Staff in 1986. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and his medical training from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. He completed his residency at New York University-Bellevue Hospital and is board-certified in general surgery.
Dr. Hendrix has over 17 years experience diagnosing and treating skin cancers. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American College of MOHS Surgery. He received his medical training and completed a fellowship at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Additionally, he completed his residency and was the Dermatology MOHS fellow at the University of Virginia.
Dr. Jones joined the Martha Jefferson Medical Staff in the fall of 2002. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Dakota and his medical training from the University of South Dakota, Vermillion, South Dakota. Dr. Jones completed his surgical residency at Kansas and is board-certified in general surgery. He specializes in breast surgery.
Dr. Nanda received her medical training from Rutgers University. She completed her internship and residency at the University of Miami and completed a fellowship at Northwestern University.
Dr. Sommers joined the Martha Jefferson Medical Staff in 1997. She received her undergraduate degree from North Dakota State University and her medical training from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Sommers completed her residency at the Stanford University and is board-certified in general surgery. Dr. Sommers specializes in breast surgery.
Dr. Teja received his medical training from the University of Virginia Medical School and completed his residency at the University of Rochester. He specializes in neurological and spine surgery, including brain and skull base tumors.
Dr. Katherine Trahan completed her undergraduate degree at James Madison University and her medical training at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia. She completed her residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas, where she also served Chief Resident. Dr. Trahan is specialty trained in general surgery, trauma surgery and bariatric surgery.
Dr. Michael Trahan He received his undergraduate degree from Lamar University (Beaumont, TX) and his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (Lubbock, TX). He completed his residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch. Dr. Trahan is board-certified in general surgery and in bariatric surgery.
Dr. Vastine received her medical training from Texas A&M University. She completed her residency at the University of California, San Diego and received fellowship training at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. She has special interests in breast reconstruction and augmentation and surgical treatment of skin cancers, including MOHS reconstruction.
Dr. Williams joined the Martha Jefferson Medical Staff in the spring of 2001. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and his medical training from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. He completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Michigan and is board-certified in general surgery.
Dr. Willms received his undergraduate degree and his medical training from the University of Texas, Southwestern. He completed his residency at the University of North Carolina and a fellowship at the University of New Mexico.
Dr. Young joined Martha Jefferson Surgical Associates in 2010. He received his medical training as well as completed his internship, residency and fellowship at Duke University. He specializes in neurological and spine surgery, including brain and skull base tumors.
