Kidney cancer is one of the 10 most common types of cancer in both men and women in the United States.

The overall risk of developing kidney cancer is 1 in 75 (1.34 percent).

After performing a physical exam, your physician may order additional tests that may diagnose kidney cancer, including:

• Imaging tests, such as x-ray, CT scan, MRI
• Lab tests, such as urinalysis, blood count or chemistry tests
• Biopsy
